The project WWP - Work with perpetrators of domestic violence in Europe intends to lay the basis for a European-wide exchange of approved methods in the work with male perpetrators of domestic violence and to initiate an enduring discussion about standards in this work throughout Europe.
For this reason the eight project partners have conducted a survey of all programmes on work with perpetrators in the European Union. Furthermore WWP developed suggestions for aspects that have to be considered for standards in the work with perpetrators of domestic violence, and hints are given for documentation and evaluation.
After two years of work by a consortium of eight European partners the project presents its results to national and international experts and wishes to discuss these results with them. The workshop takes place on...
Furthermore the perspective of European networking of work with perpetrators of domestic violence shall be considered. Since the workshop aims to reconsider the project's findings, every single session will include time for questions and discussion. We limited the number of participants to 30-50 participants.
On the first day (31st January) WWP presents the project's main findings and results, which are: results of the survey on perpetrator programmes in Europe, and suggestions regarding standards and documentation of the work with perpetrators.
On the second day (1st February) three parallel workshops will be held on the following topics:
- Standards for the work with perpetrators of domestic violence
- Documentation / Evaluation instruments for perpetrator programmes
- Policy recommendations based on the project's findings
The working language of the workshops will be English.
